As the various Canadian Cannabis companies jockey for position in the recreational marijuana market it’s time to consider which are best placed to meet the market strategically.
While there is a lot to be said for simply growing pot in large quantity, the American experience suggests that this strategy rapidly becomes a race to the bottom in a highly competitive market. “Dried flower” marijuana sales in the US States which have legalized recreational pot have settled down to around 50% of the overall cannabis market. Edibles, concentrates and other value-added uses of cannabis have grown steadily.
