Marathon Gold: All About Shareholder Value

T.MOZ, Marathon Gold

“My job is to increase value for shareholders,” said Phillip Walford, CEO of Marathon Gold (T.MOZ). Increasing value for Marathon shareholders at its Valentine Lake Gold Camp, in central Newfoundland, means drilling. And drilling means a steady flow of results. In Marathon’s most recent release Walford stated, “The high-grade areas tested to date in the Main Zone of the Leprechaun Deposit are much better defined by our recent drilling. Four drill rigs are continuing to add to the resources at both the Marathon and Leprechaun Deposits. We are on track to complete the property-wide resource estimation by early November and begin the PEA.” read more

Marathon Deposit Drilling Hits in Main Zone Corridor: 1.88 g/t Au over 225m with 4.87 g/t Au over 25m & 3.38 g/t Au over 25m Valentine Lake Gold Camp, Newfoundland

Marathon Gold Corporation (“Marathon” or the “Company”) (TSX:MOZ) is pleased to report very positive results from new drilling at the Marathon Deposit, Valentine Lake Gold Camp, central Newfoundland. Additional infill drilling, down through the 75-100-meter wide and more than 500-700-meter deep mineralized corridor of the Marathon Deposit, has further confirmed the continuity of good gold grades throughout the corridor with 1.88 g/t Au over 225 meters including 4.87 g/t Au over 25 meters and 3.38 g/t Au over 25 meters in MA-17-213 (Figure 1). Drill holes drilled across the main mineralized corridor also intercepted numerous high-grade intervals including 7.21 g/t Au over 7 meters in MA-17-201, 3.59 g/t Au over 18 meters in MA-17-206, 12.65 g/t Au over 3 meters in MA-17-207, 2.19 g/t Au over 22 meters in MA-17-204, and 4.04 g/t Au over 7 meters in MA-17-209. Drilling toward the southwest end of the current resource pit shell also intersected significant mineralization with 8.46 g/t Au over 5 meters in MA-17-203, 3.44 g/t Au over 3 meters in MA-17-210, and 3.57 g/t Au over 3 meters in MA-17-208. read more

Marathon’s Latest Drilling Further Confirms Continuity of High-Grade Gold throughout Leprechaun Deposit Main Zone Corridor: 2.34 g/t Au over 151 meters with 6.90 g/t Au over 16 meters

T.MOZ, Marathon Gold, gold, Newfoundland, Phillip Walford

Marathon Gold Corporation (“Marathon” or the “Company”) (TSX:MOZ) is very pleased to report continued positive results from the latest drill holes designed to penetrate down through the en-echelon stacked quartz-tourmaline-pyrite-gold (QTP) veining of the Main Zone corridor of the Leprechaun Deposit, Valentine Lake Gold Camp, central Newfoundland (Figures 1 & 2). The new drill holes VL-17-655 and VL-16-656, along with the previously released drill holes VL-17-653 and VL-17-654, cover a 250-meter strike length of the 960-meter long Main Zone of the Leprechaun Deposit (Figure 1). These 4 drill holes have all succeeded in hitting continuous wide, high-grade gold intervals in multiple stacked arrays of shallow southwest dipping QTP veining that dominates throughout the 25 to 60-meter wide by more than 350-meter deep Main Zone corridor of the Leprechaun Deposit (Figure 1). The pattern of QTP veining of the Leprechaun and Marathon Deposits is the same as that observed elsewhere throughout the Valentine Gold Camp. read more

Marathon Confirms Continuity by Drilling High-Grades Through Main Zone of Leprechaun Deposit, Valentine Lake Gold Camp, Newfoundland:

Marathon Gold Corporation (“Marathon” or the “Company”) (TSX:MOZ) is pleased to report the very positive results of new drilling down through the en-echelon stacked quartz-tourmaline-pyrite-gold (QTP) veining of the Main Zone corridor at the Leprechaun Deposit, Valentine Lake Gold Camp, central Newfoundland. The new drilling confirms the continuity of excellent gold grades down through the more than 350-meter deep and 25-60-meter wide mineralized Main Zone corridor of the Leprechaun Deposit (Figures 1 & 2). The dominant shallow southwest dipping en-echelon QTP veining and lesser shear parallel QTP veining of the Leprechaun Deposit is similar to the dominant shallow dipping QTP veining of the Marathon Deposit as well as elsewhere throughout the Valentine Gold Camp. read more
