A few months ago I started a SubStack about junior resource companies I either hold shares in or am thinking about taking a position in. Unlike motherlodetv.net where we try to stay very objective, over on “Talking my Book” I give my opinions (for what they are worth) about some of the promising juniors I am lucky enough to own.
One of the challenges in the junior resource exploration/development sector is attaching a credible net asset value to potential assets in the ground. A 43-101 resource estimate is helpful, so is a preliminary economic assessment; but neither really attaches a hard cash value to a company’s project.
Announcing the start of the operating season is usually a somewhat ho-hum press release. However, Tocvan Ventures (TOC:CSE) is beginning to drill the 24 km2 area that makes up the El Picacho Project in Sonora Mexico. While the company will continue to work on its Pilar project, the real excitement this season will come from Picacho.
Raising money in the current market has been difficult for many junior exploration and development companies. So the Grid Metals team’s achievement, raising $8.52 million for Grid Metals (GRDM.V), is particularly important.
